D'spice Restaurant & Bar

d'Spice @ BB Park

We feel kind of guilty for featuring this restaurant on our photo blog because it goes against “the everyday food for the everyday person”.

What happened was Cat saw an offer on streetdeal.com that pronounced “50% OFF on RM40 Cash Voucher for d'Spice Restaurant and Cafe, BB Park Bukit Bintang. Only RM20 instead of RM40.” And we just couldn’t resist, can you blame us?

pretty quiet afternoon

we were only the third group to come dine here

Anyway, since it’s a public holiday there weren't many patrons and we were among only three groups dining there. The ambience and setting was cozy enough, but we made the mistake of choosing low lying sofas instead of normal dining chairs.

appetizers

We don’t know why but we keep ordering chicken chop, lamb chop and fish & chips each time we come to these kinds of places. Haish, no sense of imagination at all. The dishes were pretty standard stuff, nothing particularly discerning in terms of taste and presentation.

bon appetit J

While Cat and Brendan enjoyed their meals somewhat, I was relieved that my fish & chips were not the "soaked in cooking oil" variety, so kudos to the chef J

We’d like to come back here for dinner one of these days, if only to experience the sights and sounds of BB Park at night. Here’s hoping streetdeal.com comes up with fresh offers soon  J
