KK Kopitiam (Alam Damai)

KK Kopitiam - Alam Damai
No. 11 & 13 Jalan Damai Puspa 5
Alam Damai Cheras
56000 Kuala Lumpur
(Coordinates: 3° 3' 27.00", 101° 44' 45.00")

Our CPU crashed last night! Instead of starting up we see the DELL logo covered in sick green lines. So after work we headed to our friends Darren and Shawn who run a business repairing and re-selling refurbished CPUs in Alam Damai.

Since it would take a while, Darren suggested we go have dinner while they sort out my CPU. We don’t know why but we are always drawn to KK (be it their food court or their supermarkets), maybe because the colour scheme that KK adopted appeals to our senses and overall has a warm welcoming feel to it. We patronize the Sri Rampai outlet often.

Our first time here

you won't miss it

Brendan tried the pan mee (what else), Cat had the mixed rice while I sampled the Pattaya fried rice. Brendan said his pan mee was okay (after Kin Kin  nothing else comes close) while Cat was pretty content with her mixed rice ensemble. I must say that I was pleasant surprised that the Pattaya fried rice was quite delicious and I can safely declare it to be among the best I’ve had in Kuala Lumpur.

Brendan ordered from this stall, obviously

choosing her dishes

actual Siamese cook manning the wok!

digging in

pan-tastic noodles

this was the undisputed star of the night

a potent combination!

We’ll try the Salak South next time (having been to their Sri Rampai and now Alam Damai premises) since we’ve been told it’s the biggest one of all, and is a proper food court (high ceilinged wide open space) and not the shop-lot variety.

And oh, by the time dinner was done our CPU was fixed. Big thanks to Shawn and Darren, if you ever need an expert look your computer over just give them a call at +60391073084.
