This weekend will be pretty hectic as Brendan has been selected by his school’s debate club to compete in the 4th KIDS BP (British Parliamentary tournament) 2013 organized by KDU University College. Hence, our usual weekend routine of visiting new eateries will be disrupted.
While Brendan was away we thought that it was about time for us to trade in our humble net book for a proper laptop. So off we went to see our good friends Shawn and Darren to look at some decent refurbished laptops. Before meeting up, we took the time to survey the various eateries in the vicinity of their premises.
We were drawn to this restaurant’s bright and cheerful exterior and the promise of homemade noodles.

the signboard says 'red' Lim? |

half empty on a busy Saturday afternoon |
|
deceptively appetizing? |
I sampled the Special Fried Rice with Chicken Wing while Cat tried the Signature Malat Pan Mee (I guess she’s been infected with Brendan’s zest for the dish).

I loved the iced coffee though |

the (not so) special fried rice with chicken wing |

the malat (spicy and bland) pan mee |

well, here goes.. |
Truth be told both dishes were pretty bland. Cat said her pan mee was so spicy that it overpowered all other flavours (if any),
and the ‘homemade’ noodle was nothing special as well
while my fried rice looked nothing like what was in the menu. If not for the chicken wing, I would have been eating lightly fried rice with little to no flavour.
We will not be coming back.
