A Morning in Bangsar

My sister Ginny spent her formative years in the vicinity (she graduated from University Malaya) and eventually settled down in Bangsar before she left for Abu Dhabi. So it was only natural for us to meet up in Bangsar for breakfast before setting off for some gallivanting nearby.

what we come here for at night

Our morning started at Kedai Makanan Nam Chun with some good old Chinese breakfast (wan tan mee and the like). Oddly enough, we are usually here for dinner so being here in the morning felt a bit strange.

Our bellies full, we made our way to Bangsar Village just a stone’s throw away for some shopping (Vincent only ever buys his work wear in Malaysia).

looking good after the facelift

Ginny & Vince's old favourite haunt

what's the scoop?

waiting as Vince tried on some 'dresses'

We came across this scooter while at Bangsar Village which looked pretty similar to the ones I used to ride in my youth (though truth be told I did not ride well since I could never get a hang of the sequence in the gear changes).

retro is all the rage these days

c'mon Ginny, hop on!

Brendan then paid a visit to his favourite of all retail stores in Bangsar Village.

specialty store indeed

Brendan'll work for Legoland one day, I reckon

We then adjourned to Chatime for some rest and relaxation before heading back to Ginny’s place to rest before going out to lunch at a very famous Nasi Lemak restaurant… stay tuned!

it's time for...

you guessed it!

psst! Cat does not like honeydew
