Kak Midah Laksa & Laksam Terengganu

(within Restoran Hidayat)
Jalan Bukit Kechil
Kampung Bukit Kecil
21100 Kuala Terengganu
Coordinates: 5.315667, 103.135444

Our trip to Kuala Terengganu will not be complete without coming here. Kak Midah starts her business at a quarter to four each day, and in order to avoid the dinner time crowd we’re always among the first ones here.

hello Kak Midah

we've missed your dishes much

So that means no matter the amount we consumed for lunch a few short hours later we will need to make space in our tummies for her dishes. A small price to pay, if you honestly ask us.

Again, a shout out to my good friend Vinodh Prasad for introducing us to her stall.

her Laksam

and her Laksa

and her various gravies

We come here for one thing and one thing only: the 1Laksa and/or Laksam with Kuah Putih:

1wheat or rice flours noodles, served with white gravy made from fish meat which is boiled, pureed, and mixed with coconut milk

Cat had the Laksa with in its full glory

while Brendan and I...

were not fans of bean sprouts
time to dig in

We will miss her Laksa and Laksam Kuah Putih so much when we get back to Kuala Lumpur.
