After an absence of four years and as a belated birthday present
to myself we decided to take a trip to Melaka. We left at about 8:00am and arrived
three hours later. Since it was still too early to check into our budget hotel
room we made our way to Dataran Pahlawan to take in the sights.
Just a stone's throw away is the iconic A Famosa:
What would trip to A Famosa be without a trek up St Paul's Hill?
Despite being very familiar with Melaka (albeit the long absence) we felt and behaved like right proper tourists. By the time we trudged down St Paul's Hill it was past lunch time, and we walked to our car to check into our budget hotel.
