Medan Selera Huang Du

777 Jalan Munshi Abdullah
Kampung Bukit China
75100 Malacca
Coordinates: 2.199449, 102.253348

After a two kilometre walk we found ourselves at a bustling Chinese food court along Jalan Munshi Abdullah. We were a little confused with the name since the signboard outside read Medan Selera Huang Du while the signage at the beverage stall read Pandan Malim 2.

mostly patronized by the elderly?

Pandan Malim on the inside?

We were immediately drawn to a stall that sold pork satay. Unlike the rather diminutive portions of skewered pork found at Xiang Ji this stall sold meatier chunks at a lower price, and we were delighted to say the least.

hello Ah Chin!

Ordering a plate of twenty sticks (which honestly looked as though it matched Xiang Ji in terms of absolute portions), Cat added a plate of 1Sotong Kangkung and as a rare treat I ordered a large bottle of Tiger Beer.

the excellent pork satay

oh yeah!

time to dig in

The pork satay exceeded all expectations as it was juicy and tasty with an equally excellent accompaniment of peanut sauce. Cat thoroughly enjoyed her Sotong Kangkung while I completely enjoyed my large bottle of beer. Rest assured, I did not drive and we made our way back to our budget hotel on foot.

we're hoping these are someone's pets?
