10 minutes later and we arrived at
Beach House, Park Hyatt at the neighbouring Saadiyat Island where Ginny and Sern made plans for us to have breakfast. The reason they picked this location was not so much the breakfast (which was excellent, by the way) but the fact that we were able to enjoy breakfast by the beach.

security was tight |

and we were warned not to take photos |
|
but we couldn't resist |
Billed as a restaurant that "serves home-made dishes
from the Mediterranean coastline prepared family style and accompanied by a
selection of wines, sangrias and cocktails", the fact that we were able to
enjoy our breakfast overlooking the waters of Saadiyat Beach is in itself the
focal point of the Beach House.

fun and cosy environment |

coffee is served! |
Ginny and Sern managed to wrangle a table at the edge of the Beach House closest to the beach. Here we enjoyed the morning breeze and the soothing scent of the salt air.

Saadiyat Beach |
We were so famished after the excellent morning walk along
the Al Jubail Mangrove Park that we could not for the life of us remember what we
had for breakfast, so we will just let our photos provide you with visual descriptions:
|
the mixed pastry platter? |
|
the egg breakfast? |
|
bacon and sausages? |
|
we have no idea... |
|
something waffle-ly? |
|
checking out the UV rays |
|
the aftermath |
An hour later and we were done. My right knee was properly swollen so Ginny and Sern thought that it would be a good idea for us to head home first to tend to it.
The swelling in my right knee was eased after Ginny applied
a little of dōTERRA's Deep Blue Rub, and we headed out again to Saadiyat Island
to what could possibly be the highlight of our entire trip to the UAE!
