We had dinner at
Mamak Abu Dhabi, our default Malaysian restaurant. Soon as we got home Ginny and Sern felt the need to burn some fat, so they took us for a walkabout around the housing development where they lived.

We had posted about
Al Reef Villas in our post from 4 years ago. Consisting of four distinct architectural themes, Arabian, Desert, Mediterranean, and Contemporary its 2,376 individual villa and townhouses offer two, three, four, and five bedroom spaces.

Before we knew it we were working up a sweat, despite the cool night temperature of well below 20°C. We admired the simplicity in design of the many similar yet different units of the differently themed villas, from the modest to the luxurious.

An hour later we arrived back home, having managed to garner well over 7,000 steps. It will be an early night for us, since tomorrow Ginny and Sern will be on leave and will be in mad hatter tour guides mode, and have planned a whirlwind adventure traversing 4 different Emirates. We can hardly wait!
