We were quite amused by the name given to this place: Hatta Water Dam. What other kinds of dam are there in the UAE?

A Dubai enclave high in the Hajar Mountain range, this dam has a crystal clear lake and a scenic view of the mountain range.

A quarter of an hour later we got back to the shores of the lake, and took in some sights from the top of the dam before heading to our next stop: Hatta Heritage Village.
