UAE2020 Day 06: Headed to Dubai Creek

We walked out of the hotel and headed to the main road that is Al Fahidi Street. We turned west along the street until we reached the Dubai Museum, and walked along the street past the Grand Bur Dubai Masjid until we reached the Textile Souk Market.

the Al Fahidi St roundabout

headed west along Al Fahidi St

the iconic landmark...

of the Dubai Museum

busier during this time

we gave this a miss

crowded and confined

never a good idea

past the grand masjid

view of the museum from the masjid

towards the textile souks

walking past...

the rows of textile merchants

a quiet alleyway

Past the Textile Souk Market, we turned north and navigated through a labyrinth of alleyways before emerging at the Dubai Creek.

we entered this alleyway

helpful signages

narrow but not crowded

a glimpse of the masjid

past the textile souks

catching a glimpse of the creek

a miniature fort, or a wind tunnel?

turns out this isn't a ticketing booth!

We planned to take an abra at the Bur Dubai Abra Station across the Creek to continue our walkabout at the Deira area.
