Menara City One EMCO: Day 16/29 - A New Normal

| Day 29/42 of Malaysian MCO | Day 16/29 of City One EMCO |

We are bracing ourselves for 14 more mind-numbing days under the extended lock-down on our condo. The areas surrounding our condo have also been locked down:

The lock-down imposed on a square kilometre around the Masjid India is reported to involve more than ten thousand residents (including those from Menara City One, Selangor Mansion and Malayan Mansion already under lock-down) and will end on 28th April as well.

It has been a while since we warmed up our car so I made the arduous trip down to the covered car park (situated within our condo). There I managed take a video of the situation along Jalan Bunus 6:

My apologies for the camera shake. I was feeling rather nervous taking the video in the presence of the police and armed forces mere metres away ðŸ˜…

At about 3pm we were alerted to an announcement being made through a loudspeaker, seemingly coming from the 7th floor foyer of our condo. Turns out DBKL and several NGOs had sponsored a packet of rice for each resident of our condo.

We however decided against going down to join the queue since we were not sure if it was safe since several migrant covidiots refused to observe social distancing. Despite this we are still thankful for the generosity of the parties involved. May God bless you all!

At 5.30pm today during his daily press conference the Health Ministry Director-General Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah announced no additional positive cases at Menara City One for the 2nd day in a row which remains at 39 cases.

It has been 8 days since we were PCR tested, and we assume that our results are negative. We ask that everyone we know to pray for our continued health, safety and well-being.
