Happy NRP Phase 4 Kuala Lumpur!
Day 2 of our Ipoh trip and we were up and about pretty early in the morning in search of some white coffee. We headed to the Little India district of Ipoh, hoping to have breakfast at Kedai Kopi Sin Yoon Loong and have us some 'famous' Ipoh White Coffee. Alas they were not ready to accept dine ins.
Across the street was Nam Heong White Coffee who were also not ready to accept dine ins. These series of events have led us to suspect the rate of vaccination among adults in Ipoh is rather low.
No matter, a very pleasant surprise lay in store for us when we finally were able to dine in at Restoran Makanan Yu Dan Mui 鱼旦妹茶室. Here we were served by a boy and girl team (siblings perhaps?) that impressed us mightily with their good service and friendly demeanour.
Breakfast out of the way, we then went to Mydin Mall in Manjoi to get some household provisions before heading over to Cyclone Car Wash since Alfie (the car) was rather dusty.
We then thought we would take a short trip to Taiping to visit its tranquil lake but was deterred by the voluminous traffic headed north. We then swung back to Ipoh town where we had lunch at a delightful local pizzeria called Miker Pizza. It was an excellent experience and a must-try for all pizza lovers. So good was their pizza that we ordered a large one to go as well!
We went back to our Airbnb and took an afternoon nap. As night-time approached, we decided to take a walk to the Gerbang Malam Ipoh, where we came upon Ipoh Tuck Kee Restaurant that served excellent noodles. Bellies filled, we strolled back to our Airbnb, and I began editing videos of the past few days.
We will be up early tomorrow morning since we plan to take a look at a diverse collection of murals, so please stay tuned!
