Eid Fitr in Kuala Lumpur (Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, Morib Beach, Sunway Putra Mall)

нello everyone! we are caт and нarold. welcoмe тo oυr blog, creaтed ιn нonoυr oғ oυr devoтιon тo тнe everyday ғood ғor тнe everyday perѕon, aѕ well aѕ тo caтalogυe oυr мeмorιeѕ, lιғe'ѕ evenтѕ, and тravelѕ wнere oυr 'perυт' (тυммy) leadѕ тнe way!

It's the seventh day of the Muslim month of Syawal, and we spent the Eid Fitr period entirely (well, almost) in Kuala Lumpur.

Brendan came back from Kuching for a 10-day break on 26 April, and apart from a sleep over at his friend's he too spent the entire time at home.

We did make a trip to Pavilion Kuala Lumpur to check out the sights but had an unpleasant experience in a Grab car. With most riders and drivers leaving Kuala Lumpur for the extended period what was left were the so-called less desirable ones.

Everyone was expecting Hari Raya Aidil Fitri (Eid Fitr) to fall on Tuesday 2 May, so it was to everyone's surprise when it was announced that it was a day earlier!

Cue the frenzied last-minute shopping and mass exodus out of Kuala Lumpur. We did not join the exodus and heard story after story of the numerous nightmarish scenes along most highways out of Kuala Lumpur.

We took a drive to Morib beach on the first day of Hari Raya Aidil Fitri (Eid Fitr) while Brendan slept over at a friend's place. He then went back to Kuching a few days later, and we spent the sixth day of Hari Raya Aidil Fitri (Eid Fitr) at a favourite shopping mall nearby.

We will only resume regular our regular vlog posts at the end of the Muslim month of Syawal out of deference and respect for our Muslim friends. Not being a wet blanket or anything, but we would also like to underscore the fact that while masks are optional outdoors, it is still mandatory indoors!
