We've always meant to try this restaurant out for an awfully long time, but the large crowds that normally swarm the place and long queues that form along the walkway have often deterred us. Famed for its outdoor dining completed with beach chairs, palm tree prints and green potted plants Rubberduck will appeal to the Instagramming community. It's apparently pork-free too.
This morning we were lucky to arrive during the sweet spot between breakfast and lunch where the crowd was in transition. Finding an empty was easy and after a little hesitation went all out with the:
- Big Breakfast for RM29.00
- Morning Muffin for RM19.00
- Coconut Latte for RM13.00
- Berry Smoothie Bowl for RM18.00
And what was the damage? The meal however did attract some taxes, so it came up to RM83.75 (approximately USD19/EUR18). An expensive brunch by our modest standards, it was an experience that we simply had to have at least once.
Lastly, we feel that it is our civic duty to remind everyone that while masks are now optional outdoors, it is still mandatory indoors!
We do what we can to support local businesses, and it's always good to know that everyone here observes all related SOPs, it helps make us feel safer and reassured.
