SATURDAY Stroll (DOREMi, Central Market, Tajudin Nasi Beriani, Mansion Tea Stall)

The weekend is upon us!

My guitar pedal board was acting up, and I suspected that it was due to a faulty cable. The nearest guitar store was in Chow Kit, and we caught a Rapid KL #250 bus from the KL31 Hentian Munshi Abdullah bus stop to get there. Fifteen minutes later we got off at the KL 52 Chow Kit bus stop, crossed the busy Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah and walked into DOREMi music store.

Alas, they did not have the cable I was looking for. Perhaps I will have better luck online? We then walked back the busy Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah and waited for any Rapid KL bus at the bus stop underneath the KL52 Chow Kit Monorail station. After waiting for a while we thought we would have better luck at the main bus stop at KL69 Pasar Chow Kit.

Here we caught a Rapid KL #173 bus that eventually dropped us off underneath the Masjid Jamek LRT Station. We walked across Jalan Tun Perak and continued along Jalan Benteng past Masjid Jamek until we reached the Medan Pasar or Old Market Square Clock Tower.

From here we walked across Leboh Pasar Besar and continued along Jalan Hang Kasturi before entering Central Market. We spent some time here visiting the ongoing Borneo Native Festival before having brunch at Restoran Tajudin Nasi Beriani nearby.

After brunch we walked back from where we came, and eventually back across Jalan Tun Perak and continued along Jalan Melayu. We then walked through the site of the old Flea Market along Jalan Masjid India before visiting a pharmacy. In the vicinity was Mansion Tea Stall so we decided to get a packet of Teh Halia (Ginger Tea).

We then continued along until the end of Jalan Masjid India. Here Cat and I separated since I received a phone call from the Citylink delivery guy informing that he was already in front of our home with the chair I bought from Nitori earlier in the week. While Cat headed to the Burger King at Semua House to settle our dinner, I hurried home to receive the chair.

With that ends our sauntering session and hope to catch up with all of you soon. While not wanting to be a wet blanket or anything, we feel that it is our civic duty to remind everyone that while masks are optional outdoors, it is still mandatory indoors!
