Weekend @ WALDORF

нello everyone! we are caт and нarold. welcoмe тo oυr blog, creaтed ιn нonoυr oғ oυr devoтιon тo тнe everyday ғood ғor тнe everyday perѕon, aѕ well aѕ тo caтalogυe oυr мeмorιeѕ, lιғe'ѕ evenтѕ, and тravelѕ wнere oυr 'perυт' (тυммy) leadѕ тнe way!

After the sumptuous seafood delight at Baywatch Restaurant in Tanjung Sepat we drove back north to Waldorf Tower to a studio apartment that my sister had left in our care.

Turned out traffic was really bad on this particular day, and we suspected that everyone was out and about visiting each other's open houses. What would normally be a leisurely hour and a half drive took almost three, and by the time we reached Waldorf Tower it was already evening.

As soon as we arrived, I headed to my favourite barbershop and was pleasantly surprised that Kumar was able to attend to me immediately. After the haircut we walked to a local convenience store to grab some refreshments and on the way back stopped by our favourite bakery for some pastries.

We got to the apartment, and I immediately got busy setting up the DJI Pocket 2 atop a tripod to capture the thunderstorm that was raging as well as the sunset that was due in an hour. We spent the next few hours resting and went out in search of dinner.

Remember our favourite Mamak (Malaysian Indian Muslim) restaurant Bestari that closed down? Well, turned out the other outlet just across Hartamas Shopping Centre at Plaza Damas 3 was still alive and kicking! We crossed the pedestrian bridge over to Bestari in glee where we ordered the usual Roti Sardin (Roti Prata [Flatbread] with Sardines as its core) for me and Fried Bee Hoon (Rice Vermicelli) for Cat.

We woke up the next morning thinking we'd order in from Grabfood but were disappointed there were no McDonald's serving the vicinity. I worked on editing the clips from yesterday then we got showered, packed our things and headed down for brunch.

As always we make it a point to visit Warung Soho for their delicious Nasi Soho, and after that headed back to our home. Thus ended our weekend at Waldorf Tower, we hope to see all of you real soon.

Lastly, we feel that it is our civic duty to remind everyone that while masks are now optional outdoors, it is still mandatory indoors!
