Driving back to KK!
We woke up at half past eight and got ready. Forty five minutes later we checked out of Ayana Holiday Resort and began our drive back to Kota Kinabalu.
After about an hour's drive we stopped at a coffee shop in Kampung Kelawat. LGD Cafe served local cuisine and we were chuffed to order:
- a strip of pork belly
- a bowl of soup
- 3 plates of rice
- a round of drinks
that came to a respectable RM59.00 (approximately USD13/EUR12). Having brunch of local grilled meat while being one with nature? Priceless!
We resumed our drive at 11:15am and after another at Petronas station along Jalan Tuaran to refuel we eventually arrived in Kota Kinabalu approximately one hour later. We then headed to our homestay.
