Boxing Day│ Ayam Garam Xiang Peng Peng!

Boxing Day!

We slept in again, I arose at nine to work on the footage of the last few days.

Cat woke up soon after while Brendan arose at eleven. We all got ready and left the hotel at a quarter to twelve and walked a short distance along Jalan Penang.

We were headed in the same direction as yesterday, but this time had plans for lunch across the road from CEKI.

Touted as "A healthy, gluten-free, and home-made Salted Chicken prepared from a traditional recipe that has been created and existed for more than 100 years old" Xiang Peng Peng Salted Chicken caught our attention when we came across its Instagram post. We walked in at noon and had the place to ourselves, so we scanned their diminutive menu and quickly settled on:

  • Half a Chicken of the Original Flavour
  • Stir Fried Roasted Pork
  • Plain Omelette
  • Pork Ribs Soup
  • 1 Kumquat Sour Plum
  • 2 Coca-Cola

Our unique lunch came to a respectable RM110.00 (approximately USD25/EUR24), which was a little pricey by our reckoning.

We then made the short walk back to the hotel.

Be sure to catch our next video as I add to my collection of body art at Skin Nation Tattoo!
